Tennis Elbow
If you're going to have an injury and you're a runner, tennis elbow is one of the better injuries that you could have if you got to pick and choose your injury. I was diagnosed with tennis elbow Monday and started taking a corticosteroid used to treat arthritis pain and inflammation. My Achilles tendons are in heaven right now. I'll have to keep this in mind if I get an acute case of tendonitis again. I'm on a 6 day 21 tablet load up and back off dosage. Hopefully the elbow pain will subside and the achilles will stay happy.

and how exactly does a runner obtain tennis elbow? LOL
LOL...the best I can figure is that it happened while I was mountain biking after a long run in a local state park. Not much of a biker here and I must've gripped the handlebars and/or brakes too firmly. I did manage to stay upright the entire time. That's the only new thing I've done this summer so am blaming it on that.
Tennis Elbow or Lateral Epicondylitis is a condition that causes extreme burning pain over the bone at the side of the elbow. It is majorly observed in tennis players and in men than women. Some prevention which one can take is, halting any form of activity that leads to pain and inflammation, applying ice or cold water pack on the problem area, trying to raise the elbow at regular intervals, physiotherapy also helps.
