Woodlands Fall Fit

Yesterday was the first orientation session for the Woodlands Fall Fit inaugural season. The achilles is still feeling better every week. I was feeling good so ran a little faster than I should have been for a long run but it was only 7 miles. My Thursday weekday easy run was almost that same distance.
I have been running 5 days and resting 2 the past couple of months while building up a training base for when Chicago training begins. Friday has been one of my off days; I had been mowing my lawn with my push mower than evacuated with me from the New Orleans area. Its been on life support since the 2006 mowing season; one of the rear wheels cracked and fell off Friday with less than 10% of my lawn mowed. I opted for a self propelled mower for the replacement; Fridays are now more like rest days with the self propelled feature.
The trail group met at Burroughs Park this morning for a 5 and a half mile trail run. I believe everyone used bug replellant after witnessing or hearing the horsefly stories. The horseflies were out again but weren't so bad as long as you kept moving.

Nice to run with you this weekend, Pat!

Good luck on the mower situation.

You are welcome to borrow ours if you'd like.

Thanks Karen; nice meeting and running with you twice this weekend. If this heat and no rain continues, I won't have any lawn to mow!!!!
